About Us

ACTION AID AUSTRALIA is a small overseas Aid Agency with a registered office in Narre Warren,and supporters and sponsors Australia wide. Action Aid is currently operated by an Honorary Board of Directors in Australia who meet nine or ten times per year. All work carried out is done on a purely voluntary basis in Australia by Directors and supporters.

A Policies and Procedures document was set in motion 1996 (?), and details the ideologies of our organisation. This is a working document, which is reviewed regularly. Action Aid Australia has AusAID accreditation and is therefore able to source Government funding for project work in Bangladesh and India, our two main areas of endeavour. Action Aid Australia are a member of Australian Council For Overseas Aid (ACFOA).
