All State and Territory TPI Associations are members of the Federation. Currently, membership is 15 000 veterans, all of whom receive the Special Rate (TPI) compensation payment. The Federation was formed in 1979, while most State/Territory Associations were formed long before that date with Victoria being the first in the 1930-1940 era.

Plans for 1999
A large proportion of our members are from World War 11 with other conflicts being well represented. Each State/Territory Association conduct extensive welfare operations, largely visiting members in hospital and the frail and aged who can no longer leave home. Functions are arranged whereby special transport facilities transport these people to certain social functions.
