Community pharmacy offers a unique resource in primary health care, pharmaceutical care, promotion of the quality use of medications and other health promotions. Pharmacies exist in a well spread out network of shopfronts in highly accessible locations; they are computerised and operate over extended hours seven days a week in urban, rural and remote areas.
