The Commonwealth Bank of Australia provides banking services to a high proportion of older Australians. It offers more "face to face" banking facilities than any other financial institution as well as a range of easy-to-use alternative ways for customers to do their banking. The Bank has structured its fees and charges to enable more than 70% of Age and War Veteran customers to conduct their banking without incurring fees. The Bank is committed to the provision of information and assistance for older customers to enable them to feel comfortable and confident about the safety and security offered by self-service banking. During IYOP, amongst other initiatives, the Bank has taken the step of training retired Bank officers to deliver peer to peer information sessions. The Bank has also produced videos on ATM useage and a step by step guide to phone banking and EFTPOS.
