Australian Red Cross is an humanitarian organisation dedicated to providing assistance to the most vulnerable groups and individuals in society, both within Australia and overseas. A large number of programs operating within Australia are focused on providing assistance to ageing and older persons.

During 1999, ARC will launch 2 national programs - Community Challenge and Community Action which aim to educate young people on volunteering and create inter-generational relationships.
