The Carers Association of Australia is a non-profit benevolent organisation dedicated to improving the lives of carers. Through the Carer Support Kit, Carers Associations around Australia are in contact with over 80,000 carers. The Carers Association was established in March 1993, as the national peak body representing carers in Australia and aims to provide them with a national voice and a focus. The Association received funding under the Community Organisations Support Program of the Department of Health.
