Aged Care and Housing Group is a private, not for profit organisation specialising in aged care. It was initially set up in 1952 raising funds and building accommodation for financially disadvantaged people.

Aged Care and Housing Group provide services in the following areas

Nursing Homes and Hostels
Community Aged Care Packages, incorporating Nursing Home Care Packages
Accommodation for older persons based on rental only or entry contribution housing
Community Option programs providing individualised support to people in their own homes and one off home support.
Health Co-operatives providing therapy, learning support and rehabilitation to older people

Aged Care and Housing Group has a strong program approach of valuing the individual older person, building services around individuals and helping to maintain their networks so they have a chance of growth and connection rather than isolation and boredom.

Plans for 1999 include a teaching and learning Resource Kit aimed at educators/teachers of primary and secondary school students (Years 3-10) to facilitate learning and interaction between older and younger people and promote the benefits of positive and healthy ageing.
