Become an Abbeyfield Volunteer

The energy and vitality which enable Abbeyfield to provide quality, affordable housing for older Australians come largely from our many volunteers. Abbeyfield volunteers may be involved with some aspects of resident living, such as helping with the garden, while many prefer to belong to a local society committee. Services performed by the committee include resident selection, supervision of the housekeeper, managing the local society budget. Several times a year volunteers have the opportunity to attend a national seminar, where they meet other volunteers from local societies around the country and discuss important issues.

Volunteering for Abbeyfield is a rewarding way to be involved in your community. Your support can help provide a safe, secure and happy home for older members of your community, and give them the opportunity to maintain their independence.
