About Us

ABBA.australia is an ABBA Fan Community based in Melbourne, Australia.

We provide a central contact for ABBA fans in Australia and some from overseas.

We serve the ABBA community by organising local ABBA fan events such as ABBAVision, by arranging tickets to Australian performances such as the premiere of MAMMA MIA!, and encouraging the support of other ABBA fan forums. We also serve as a source of information for television, radio and press, as well as other people outside the ABBA community.

We have been around for 29 years now. However, with the advantage of their central European location, the Official International ABBA Fan Club is now the largest ABBA Fan Club in the world and the best one to provide the printed magazine format which we no longer do. They also have a very comprehensive Sales Shop of official ABBA-related products and a yearly event held in Holland.

Over our past 29 years we have seen a lot of changes in our world; one of the biggest has been the introduction of the internet, which we have seen used both positively and negatively.

My personal ABBA experiences over the past 36 years will also be reflected in this site, and I hope your experiences as well if you choose to contribute. To me, ABBA has always been primarily a source of fun and happiness in a sometimes very dark world, and there is no sign of the ABBA legacy fading in the 21st Centrury.
