Composer's notes:

Elegy is the music associated with a prolonged sigh at the inability of many individuals, communities and nations to stop planting the seeds of greed and hatre that resulted in the division and separation of peoples and the destruction of lives. The sounds of the falling seeds at the end of the work is a wordless prayer for all the seeds to become the seeds of love, compassion and hope that will bring about a harmonious togetherness of peoples.
