The Australia Asia Foundation (AAF) is a non-profit organisation established to foster cross-cultural and Asian arts and music in Australia. The AAF supports the creation and presentation of cross-cultural works by Australian artists. The AAF also encourages collaborative works between Asian and Australian artists. In addition, the AAF maintains an active role in the development of Australian knowledge of Asian arts and music to promote cross-cultural understanding between Asians and Australians through the arts and music.

Since 1994, the Australia Asia Foundation has initiated many on-going programs, including composers' commissions, performances, publications and CD releases. In March 2004, the Australia Asia Foundation launched the Sonic Gallery, a virtual sonic exhibition space for cross-cultural music on the web.
