Ian Weickhardt made this model of a vehicle from the first overhead train, built during the electrification of the VR suburban network in 1915.The vehicles were converted from old H box vans by the addition of a deck to allow work on the overhead installation.The retained the H classification.

The second overhead train, built for the electrification of the Gippsland line in the 1950s, employed old 6-wheel F class and bogie FF class horseboxes, reclassified to OH.

The 1/4" scale model is built from wood and tinplate and uses some components cast in type-metal.
