SANDRINGHAM
is a metropolitan electorate approximately 15 kilometres south-east
of Melbourne. It is part of Higinbotham Province.
Covering
24 square kilometres, it includes the suburbs of Beaumaris, Black
Rock and Sandringham, and parts of the suburbs of Cheltenham,
Mentone, Highett and Hampton.
Much
of the electorate consists of bayside residential areas. It
also features some industry and premises of organisations such
as the CSIRO.
Several
popular golf courses are located in the south towards the beach
front.
