About Us

The Fern Society of Victoria was formed in 1979 and has a membership of about 150 enthusiastic and mainly amateur fern growers.

Objectives of the Society

To bring together persons interested in ferns and allied plants
To promote the gathering and dissemation of information about ferns
To stimulate public interest in ferns
To promote the conservation of ferns and their habitats

Meetings: Held on the third Thursday of the Month (except January or when replaced by the Fern Show or by excursions) and visitors are most welcome. We invite speakers on a wide variety of subjects relating to ferns and their culture.

Time: 7.30 p.m. Pre-meeting activities: Sale of ferns, fern materials and special effort tickets, library loans.
8.00 p.m. General Meeting.

Venue: Kevin Heinze Garden Centre, 39 Wetherby Rd., Doncaster, Vic.
