Fruit and Nut Park

Sunshine Rotary Club has been involved in supporting the planning and development of a Fruit and Nut Park for almost a decade.

The 8ha park will feature exotic fruit and nut trees, a central viewing area with shops and plant displays, picnic area and a “pseudo-wild” area designed to encourage children to roam and forage.

The park, the initiative of two Sunshine doctors, is intended to attract tourists to the region to foster local pride. It will also provide a unique resource for educational activities and also promote healthy , recreational activities for all age groups.

Community participation is already well underway in the formulation of strategies for fully developing the project
