Hi, I am Tom Peitsch. Born and bred in Saginaw, Michigan,
USA. I migrated to Australia with my wife, Flossie, on completion of my
studies at Concordia Senior College, Ft. Wayne, Indiana. I completed my
theological training at Luther Seminary in North Adelaide, South Australia
and have served the Lutheran Church of Australia in three parishes since
ordination in December, 1978.
St Peter’s, Elizabeth, South Australia 1979-1990
Lobethal Lutheran Church, Lobethal, South Australia 1990-1997
St Johns Southgate, Melbourne, Victoria 1997-
I believe that the business of the church is to grow
people as disciples of Jesus in order that they can grow people as
disciples of Jesus. The rhythm of congregational life should be one of
invite - grow - send so that they invite - grow - send. Leadership in this
style of ministry needs to be flexible, responsive, and permission-giving.
The vision I have is for a variety of ministries flowing out from St Johns
Southgate in service to those who live and work in the Southbank and
Melbourne metropolitan area.
For relaxation I enjoy building models, restoring and running an old MG,
and reading.

Thaddaeus, Ezra and Patience
