Casey Seals Masters Swimming Club
Who are we?
The Casey Seals Masters Swimming Club is an adults swimming club. Our members have quite varied abilities and training requirements ranging from social swimmers through to World and Australian champions in pool & ocean swim competitions, as well as open-water swimmers and triathletes.
We provide adult swimming squad training (although younger swimmers over 15 are also welcome) for:
- general fitness
- pool competition preparation
- open water swimming
- triathletes
Most of our members live in the suburbs around Narre Warren, including Berwick, Cranbourne, Dandenong, Narre Warren and Beaconsfield. Generally they are in their 30's and 40's, although we do have quite a few in their 20's and some over 50, and are fairly evenly divided between competitive swimmers (pool, open water & triathlons) and those swimming just for fun or fitness.
Many of our swimmers compete in the Victorian open water swimming races held over summer at various beaches around Port Phillip Bay and the open ocean beaches around Victoria. Ebony Ebenwaldner, who is one of our members and coached us until mid-2008, is one of Australia's top open water swimmers. She has won the Lorne Pier to Pub ocean swim twice (2004 and 2008) and is usually on the podium after her races.
See more information about ocean swimming in Victoria, including the Casey Seals Open Water Swim Calendar, on the Open Water Swimming page.
Where are we?
We are based at the Casey Aquatic and Recreation Centre (Casey ARC) which is situated adjacent to the Fountain Gate Shopping Centre on Overland Drive, Narre Warren, a south-eastern suburb of Melbourne, Victoria. The club is affiliated with Masters Swimming Victoria (formerly AUSSI Victoria).
Have a look at us using Google Maps. Choose either a close-up or suburb-level view.
