VRR Privacy Policy

To protect the privacy of personal information of members of Victorian Road Runners Inc, (VRR) and participants in events organized by VRR, the following Privacy Policy has been adopted:
  1. Personal Details: including names, addresses, phone numbers, e-mail addresses, age, date of birth and gender: Upon joining Victorian Road Runners, Inc. club members provide to the committee, these personal details. Such details may be used by VRR for purposes of communicating with members, and utilizing details of age and date of birth in determining club awards, allocating age groups and other club-related administrative uses. Such personal information will not be disclosed to any third party without the express informed consent of individual members.
  2. Event entry information: Personal details – names, addresses, phone numbers, age and date of birth: Upon entering an event organized by VRR, participants must provide to the committee, details of name, address, date of birth, age and telephone number. This personal information may be used by VRR in the organization of the event, to determine age groups and gender categories, to prepare and publish results lists, and to communicate with participants in regard to the event or future events to be held by VRR, if necessary. These details are only to be used in the conduct of the event and not disclosed to any third party without the express informed consent of individual members.
  3. Emergency Information: In case of emergency, VRR may disclose information relating to an individual for the purposes of medical treatment, without prior consent.
  4. Disposal of documents: Documents containing personal details of participants, e.g. run entry forms, shall be disposed of in such a manner as to ensure the privacy of people concerned, and to ensure that no third party has access to personal information.
  5. Photographic Images: Photographs of participants and other persons attending VRR events may be taken and published in the club magazine or other publications of VRR.
  6. Access to Information: Individual members may request the VRR to provide them with a copy of the personal details held by the VRR for that member.
