The TARS Stall offers to TARS members a variety of Ransome-associated material, including all available editions of his writings in English.
Following the retirement of Ted Alexander who ran the Stall for many years, TARS member Linden Burke has very kindly come forward and volunteered to run it.
TARS members may know Linden from the bookshop he runs - Kirkland Books of Kendal in Cumbria - which specializes in rare, collectible and secondhand books, and includes a sizeable catalogue of Ransome books and related titles.
Linden offers a mail-order service and TARS members also have the opportunity of either buying Stall items when visiting the Kirkland Books shop in person or online through the website.
The previous arrangement where members in Australia ordered TARS items through our local Coordinator is no longer active, as items can be bought from Kirkland Books of Kendal on the web and payment may be made by Credit Card on line.
In the rare case when such a method is not possible, the Coordinator may be able to help, but there will be a substantial charge for the necessary Bank Draft for AusTARS to send the money to Kirkland Books for the item purchased.
