1. The name of the Organisation: People Against Drink Driving
- OBJECTIVES:
- To reduce the harm resultant from drink driving in Australia.
- To support educational, organisational and environmental initiatives aimed at reducing the incidence of drink driving in Australia.
- To provide support to the families and friends of the victims of drink driving.
These aims shall be achieved by pursuing the following objectives:
- Disseminating information about drinking and driving to the public, health and other professionals, policy makers and other relevant bodies and individuals.
- Encouraging ongoing research at local, State and Federal levels which examines the impact of drink driving on the community and leads to the formulation of strategies both primary and preventative.
- To liaise with individuals and organisations in the community who are committed to a reduction in the incidence of drink driving in Australia and to facilitate the provision of an integrated and co-ordinated approach to achieve this end.
- To offer support and assistance as may be deemed necessary from time to time to individuals who have been directly affected by a drinking driver and by encouraging those individuals to participate in the activities of the organisation.
- To co-operate and act jointly with persons or bodies so far as is necessary for the performance of the organisation’s functions.
3. POWERS:
The Association has the power to do all such things as are necessary, incidental or conducive to the attainment of the association.
