PACIFICA

AUSTRALASIAN THEOLOGICAL STUDIES

Information for Contributors

In general articles should be between 5000 and 8000 words in length, written in a lucid but scholarly style, accessible to a broad, theologically literate audience of scholars, students and pastors. Manuscripts (two copies, typed and double-spaced) should be sent to The Editor, Pacifica, Jesuit Theological College, 175 Royal Parade. Parkville VIC 3052. If possible, an electronic version of the manuscript should be sent (preferably by email attachment to pacifica@jtc.edu.au) in addition to the paper copies. To preserve as far as possible the objectivity of the review process, authors are asked not to include their names or other identifying material on their manuscripts. Authors should retain a copy for the purpose of checking proofs. Please guarantee that the manuscript has not been submitted for publication elsewhere. It is the author's responsibility to ensure that any quoted material does not infringe copyright and that all requisite permissions have been obtained.

Authors who have been advised that their manuscript has been accepted should forward a copy of their work either on disk or by email attachment (preferably the latter). Word for Macintosh is preferred software. Manuscripts not accepted will be returned only on payment of return postage.

The Editor asks that manuscripts conform to the stylistic and bibliographical conventions of this journal. Notes and references will be printed as footnotes and should be typed double-spaced. References to secondary sources should contain accurate details of publication: author (or editor), place of publication, publishing house, date - and, where relevant - edition. References to articles in journals and essays in multi-author works should cite the full page range occupied by the article or essay as well as the number of the page containing the particular point being referred to.

Along with manuscripts, authors are asked to provide an Abstract, to appear at the head of the article, and also a few autobiographical sentences (current appointment, scholarly interest or specialisation, recent publications, etc.) for the Notes on Contributors page, plus an email address.

Authors of papers published in Pacifica will receive 25 offprints free of charge. Further offprints may be ordered from the Manager.

Pacifica is a refereed journal and appears as such in the (Australian) Department of Education, Science and Training Register of Refereed Journals.
