of wildflowers and overseas exhibitions and displays.
Work in collections
include Rosanna Library and a portrait of the early Ridgeway Family in
the Torquay Gallery in England, book Illustrations and boardroom portrait
commissions.

Member for 25 years of the
Heidelberg Artists Society
Melbourne Society of Women's
Painters and Sculptors for over 20 years which included committee membership
Formerly a member of the
Victorian Artists Society and as a member of the Palette Pals Group has
travelled during the last twenty two years painting the Australian bush
and its flowers.
Member of the Embroiderers
Guild, creating original designs for her crewel work.
Prizes
Numerous prizes won include
those at Marysville Art Show, Palette Pals and Heidelberg Art Society and
she has been mentioned in many press articles. The botanical correctness
of her Western Australian native flora works have been widely praised,
as have her Fairy Paint paintings which incorporate Australian wild flowers.
So many of these delicate works have been purchased that Valerie has now
produced a limited edition of prints.
Valerie resides at Heidelberg,
Victoria, is still painting, giving critiques and enjoying life to the
full. |
