Worsley Cottage was
built by Arthur Worsley a contractor in stonework for his
bride Agnes Morris.

The two front rooms were completed in 1894. A further two rooms were
added by 1908.
The
Society relocated the slab hut -Joyce's Squatters hut c1840, to the
complex in 1980 rebuilding and furnishing with furniture and items
which reflect the austerity of home life in the early settlement of the
pastoral areas in the locality.
Larger items reflecting life and work in this mining and agricultural
area are displayed in the outdoor areas.
The research and resources room houses a large collection of
photographs, family histories, shire records, newspapers, some in data
bases on computers.
The collection and archiving is an ongoing activity by members and
volunteers.
