Thanks to everyone who prayed for Jake. He's home now and doing great. The scariest moment of my life was when I handed that tiny little boy over to the nurse to be taken to surgery. As we walked from the pre-surgical area to the waiting room, I was crying, saying to my husband "what if that's the last time we see him?" Well, about an hour later, we were taken to recovery where Jake was doing great. Of course, I cried there, too, because he was very upset (whimpering, not really crying) because of how weird he felt from the anesthesia. The poor thing...they had poked his arm, one ankle, then the other until they were finally able to find a vein for his IV. Fortunately, since he drank sugar water in the recovery room (TWO OUNCES!!!), they were able to take the IV out right away. He slept all day and was up all night (much to my dismay!!), but he came through it like a champ!!
Thanks again for the prayers.
