Our's had something similar...little cardboard signs with pictures of the appropriate sex baby and it was in pink or blue. They stated the babies name (first and middle...I'll have to look to see if last is on there, but I don' t think so) and birth weight and date. It was nice to look around and see if there was a baby born at a simiar weight or birthday.
I remember going back with Elizabeth for her 2 year follow-up and visiting the babies - see another reason for the great part of the viewing area! We were able to find a baby that was about her weight when she was born. She asked lots of questions for a two year old about the pulse-ox on the foot, etc. I don't think we have any pictures showing her foot with it.
We kept her sign even though they weren't familiar with American names and put Lauren down as Laureel (?) Butch took a pen and changed it! It's a fun keep sake considering that they didn't do the band's for the babies....thank goodness mine was the only fair haired blonde in the bunch LOL
