My heart is breaking for you. I know so much what you are going through and YES!, your Bud is one of the guardian angels, along with my three (one who's name is/was Corduroy, he came at 24 weeks, his twin died at 7 weeks). I do believe that the babies that we lose, either before or after birth are in heaven in a special place, where they feel no pain and are with our other dearly beloveds that have died. They are all watching over us and helping us, every step of the way. My babies are now with your Bud, they are with my grandparents. Feeling this way helped me so much in dealing with my losses.
I'm glad that Kevin and your doctor were so supportive and wonderful. You need and deserve this so much.
