Catherine Hayes designed and completed the web site for the Society in October 2000. Members of the Footscray Historical Society wish to thank Catherine and to congratulate her on her fine work. This work was used as the basis for the site which is continuing to evolve.

The Footscray Historical Society actively collects, preserves and researches the history of the suburbs within the City of Maribyrnong. These are Braybrook, Footscray, Kingsville, Maidstone, Maribyrnong, Seddon, West Footscray, Tottenham, and Yarraville.

We are interested to hear from you if you have suggestions for information about the Maribyrnong area to be loaded onto this site or for links to other relevant sites to be added.
