Enfield Forest Alliance
Our Forest
Our Community
Our Future
Fighting to give our community it's chance to look after it's own interests in the Enfield State Forest. The alliance is made up of a diverse team of concerned citizens who want to be able to profit from and have access to their own community asset. YOU, as a community member, are encouraged to contact the EFA, and find out how YOU can also be a part of the official decision-making processes to protect our communities, jobs and freedom to use the forest environment.
To find out about the West Regional Forest Agreement (RFA) and how it will affect you and the Enfield State Forest, see our RFA and the Enfield page.

We only have one forest. Let it be ours!
This is an example of what is happening in our forest under the RFA. The buffers are removed and the filter strips for the water are gone. This early example of the type of practices proposed will lead to displaced wildlife, substantially worsened water quality and no jobs for the next 100-120 years. "The NRE are asking us to trust them because they are foresters. This coupe is but one of many with obvious breaches of the codes of practice. Given this track record, how can we trust them to manage the forest sustainably". - Kim Stanley-Eyles
