The Early Arts Guild of Victoria is noted for its wide range of school programs which includes:
- Brass Rubbing
Using full-scale facsimiles of Medieval and Renaissance
brasses from one of Australia's largest collections. Instructions and all materials are
supplied for up to 150 students per day. Students retain their rubbings.
- The Medieval World in Sight and Sound
A one-hour music presentation with members of the Early Music Consort using portative organ, Saracen lute,
rauschpfeiffen, shawm, medieval recorders and other fascinating instruments. Medieval dress and colorful
overheads add to the scene.
- Dressing Up the Queen of England
A one-hour Elizabethan music / dance presentation with
three members of the Early Music Consort and two performers from the Rippon Lea Renaissance Dancers.
Historic instruments are used and all participants wear 16th Century court dress. The program ends with
a dressmaker's dummy being fitted-out with a full Elizabethan dress, with undergarments and farthingale.
- Renaissance Day
Up to 150 students rotate through classes in brass rubbing, renaissance dance
and related activities. The program highlight is a one-hour performance by members of the Rippon Lea Renaissance
Dancers and Early Music Consort - all wearing period court attire.
