 All Star Companion
Roy Thomas' tour d'force work "The All-Star Companion" is out!!!

For the latest info on this 'definitive guide to the Justice Society of America- from 1940-2000 AD!'  click on the links.  The All Star Companion is listed in the September issue of Previews magazine (Page 298).  Order yours now from your local comic shop or directly from Twomorrows Publishing.

A follow-up to the All Star Companion will be a Silver Age JSA issue of Alter Ego.  This will cover the JSA's team ups with the JLA.  Wonder if Roy will use any Aussie Edition DC covers?  Look for that issue early 2001... or keep an eye on the TwoMorrows web site.

December 30 2000
There's an eBay auction of a lot of 14 All Star Comics at the moment.  I've loaded scans of splash pages from # 17, 39, 45, 50 and 51 which are coverless issues.

December 2nd 2000.

I'm back from my latest North American sojourn.  5 weeks in Canada and the USA.  I was lucky enough to meet up with a number of JSAAA members.  I had a ball chatting with golden age fanboys, through to recent comic converts.  Everyone from Mr Zatarro (our doyen of the JSAAA) to Sadowski3 and even GeoffJohns.  All were a pleasure to meet, a thrill to chat to, and bliss to comic shop with!  Geoff Johns gets so excited over boxes of Silver Age comics - my kinda guy!  Treasured memories folks.  And I was lucky enough to add another All Star Comic to my collection.... ASC#54!  Picked it up in Vancouver - for a song! I saw a few more at a comic fair in Boston - but they were WAY out of my price range.   One day perhaps... next trip...  I'm already planning!  All the highlights to added soon.

September 1st 2000
The special Justice Society of America issue of Roy Thomas' Alter Ego has been released.
Vol.3 no.5 of Alter Ego contains an unpublished artwork gallery of the JSAers, an interview with Shelly Meyer, "DC vs the Justice Society" (Larry Ivie on the birth of the Silver Age), a special Green Lantern section... and more! It's well worth the US$5.95.  Copies can be obtained from all good comic stores - and if you've got a bad one... well go straight to the sources.  Alter Ego is published by TwoMorrows.
The Alter Ego web page page can be reached by clicking on the copy of the issue's wonderful Infantino/Ordway wrap around cover.  Go on, do yourself  (and Roy) a favour.  Pick up a copy from TwoMorrow's back issues service ASAP.

July 23rd 2000

April 23rd 2000
In the past couple of weeks I've added a few extra features to my Jr JSA pages.  Thanks to Mr Jerry Bails for generously forwarding me the information to crack the All American Comics (1945) version of the Jr JSA code and finish the second decoder wheel.

......and for something completely different!  My other comic book web page, an Aussie superhero?!?!?  Yes, visit Davo's Panther Comic page to learn more.

January 9th 2000
Just added a few updates to the Jr JSA pages - including the secret codes from 1948.  (Dont tell anyone, they're secret - indeed "Top Secret: for members of the junior justice society of America") Enjoy!

December 4th 1999
I've added a 8 extra cover scans of Australia edition JSA/JLA teamups - the Flashes, 1965, 1967 & 1968 pages contain the main additions.  (I've been lucky in my acquisitions in the past few months and also managed to find a nice collection of comics in the State Library of New south Wales on a visit to Sydney.)  I've added a bit of extra information about the Jr JSA and there are also more Aussie edition Infinity Inc cover scans too.

And don't forget.... All Star Comics Archive No.5 is now on sale.

September 28th 1999
I'm added a few bits and pieces to the site.  My recently purchased copy of All Star Comics No.53 arrived last week. A scan of the Splash page is up (see ASC#53) and the JSA Labnotes from that issues is now in the Jr JSA Section. Also in the Jr JSA section is the second variant certificate from 1942 and a code from 1943 (the latter courtesy of Graeme Fitzgerald).  Another Aussie variant Infinity Inc cover is now on the misco page. More soon.

August 19th
Jr JSA section added (as well as JSAAA membership card).  Will be adding more details soon.

August 12th
I've added some extra scans of Aussie Reprints of JSA/JLA teamups.  Thanks very much to Mark Cannon, of Canberra, for supplying me with these scans and generously sharing part of his collection.  It's always great to chat with a fellow comics fan -especially one interested in Australian comics as well!

Changes to:  the "Aussie Variant" page, the "misco" page and the following years crossovers:  1963 (Flash & JLA), 1964, 1965, 1966, 1968. "Cover of the month" has also been rotated and features "All Star Comics No.32".  Here's a helpful hint - if the page has a red background like this then I've updated it on or after  August 12!

And coming soon... a page on the Junior JSA!

30th June
The JSA Webring is now up and running.  If you have a JSA webpage you would like to link to the ring, see the details at the bottom of this page.

26th June
I've added a few extra pics into the Misc gallery:  hope you enjoy them!  Don't forget JSA#1 is out this week - check your local comic store and if you haven't already pick up a copy of the JSA Secret Files as well.

5th June
I've finally finished adding 1970s All Star Comics and JSA issues of Adventure as well as the JSA crossovers in Justice League of America.  Enjoy!!
2nd May 1999

I'm in the process of adding pages for the annual JSA/JLA cross-overs, as well as sorting out my Aussie variant covers. I'll be adding a couple of examples, then up-loading them in groups.

21st April 1999

I've added a few new JSA related links as well as a few scans of the covers of Aussie reprints of JSA/JLA team ups from the 1960s through to the 1980s.Davo

August 8th 1998 : I've just returned after nine weeks travel to Europe and North America for work and pleasure. While away I was able to purchase six copies of All star comics between issues no.28 to no.55.
I also purchsed a copy of Abbeville Press' Wonder Woman : featuring over five decades of great covers, which features around 20 different All Star covers. I will be adding scans of these items to the site over the next few weeks. So thanks for your patience while I was away and unable to update my site during my trip.
