BEGINNER ROWING COURSE Starts on July 27th for a 6 week program. Starting time is 9.30 am till 11.00 am. Numbers are limited to 8 participants
at a cost of $50. Those completing the course will be able to Scull ( one boat, one person, two oars ) and will be looking for a crew to join up with for future
rowing, competition or fitness. ............This course is now full

COMMITTEE MEETING June 2003 topics
- Fees set for the coming year at;
Joining fee $ 50
Adult Member $210
Junior/Student $140
Social $ 15
Family 2 par. + children $550
Family 1 Par. + children $350
Gym Member fee $ 50
Boat storage (non Memb ) $ 50
Fees are due from the !st July and ongoing member fees not paid by the 1st Sept will require a new joining fee. Full Details will be posted on the
noticeboard.
- Rowing Victoria are moving to have more flexible entry procedures for regattas next season and more flexibility for clubs via the club module system
- Clubs will be required to provide more of their own " Qualified Officials " at their own regattas
- Annual General meeting . Detail below
- Club Dinner and presentation night June 20th
The Club has applied for an Open Regatta on the October 25th with a Masters Regatta the next Day Oct 26th

New seasons Regattas;
We hope to have a full Calendar of the next Season’s regattas soon and it is anticipated that we will support as many as possible so please check your own
calendar in advance and lets all have a great season on and off the water. Again a reminder ; You must be a paid up member of the Club, you must also be
registered with the V.R.A.
You or your Stroke must apply by the due date via e-mail or phone directly to the Captain . NOT word of mouth
Maintenance Report;
Boat slide out racks have been installed and they, as well as your backs, should be treated with care by following these simple steps ;
Taking Boat out
- Draw boat out fully.
- Lift boat up clear
- Push rack back in.
- Lower boat
- Carry out
Putting Boat Back
- Carry boat into shed and ling up boat marks next to the Racks
- Lift boat higher than the Rack
- Draw Rack fully out ( including top runner )
- Lower boat onto Rack
- Push boat fully back.
Please note; DO NOT DRAG BOAT SIDEWAYS ALONG RACKS.
IF THEY NEED MOVING PLEASE LIFT AND MOVE.
We are currently hoping to sell all the timber oars with a view to using the money to purchase other equipment.
AGM
The Clubs A.G.M. will be held at the Clubrooms on Sunday the 20th July. All Committee positions will be declared vacant and as usual we are looking for
members who can not only attend the meetings but actually contribute positively to the running and events of the Club. PLEASE give it some thought

We are currently working on getting our own Web site up and running so stay tuned for the Address

- If possible, please submit items in electronic form which can be either; Microsoft Word (or another IBM PC text document) format, or as email text.
- Items can be emailed to rjmuller@netcon.net.au or a disk/note can put in an envelope addressed to me and handed in to the NRE office reception at 57 View St.,
Bendigo or items can be pinned to the club notice board.
