Cousin Jack Jokes - Cornish Humour.
The basis of the humor is the Cornish use of English or the misuse of the lanuage. They were told by nearly everyone in Bendigo, up 'till World War II, no-one appreciated them more than the Cornish who could always laugh at themselves.
Some jokes contained a subtle message. The one featured below, shortened for cartoon use, was often used by the teachers at the Bendigo Junior Technical School in the 1940's to impress upon the new students the importance of accuracy.
