The following Groups and Associations have agreed in principle to the ANA's existence:

Register of Members
The Chairperson shall keep and maintain a register of the members of the ANA, adding and deleting the names and addresses of those groups/association who join or cease to be members.

Resignation of Members of the Society
A member group/association who delivers notice in writing of their resignation from the ANA to the Chair ceases on that delivery to be a member.

Expulsion of Members of the ANA
If the Chair on consultation with other member groups considers that a member group/association should be expelled from membership because of conduct detrimental to the interests of the ANA, the Chair shall communicate in writing to the member:

  1. Notice of the proposed expulsion and the time, date, and place of the ANA meeting at which the question of that expulsion shall be decided.
  2. Particulars of the conduct to be considered.

At the meeting referred to in that notice, the ANA may, after having afforded the member group/association concerned reasonable opportunity to make personal or postal representation to the ANA, expel or decline to expel that member from membership in the ANA and shall forthwith communicate the decision in writing to that member group/association. The group/association ceases to be a member 7 days after the decision is communicated.

A member group so expelled may appeal to the general membership of the ANA. The general membership, after having afforded the group/association in question reasonable opportunity to make personal or postal representation, may confirm or set aside the decision of the ANA.

Dissolution of the Association
If, on winding up the ANA, any property of the ANA remains after satisfaction of the debts and liabilities of the ANA, and the costs, charges, and expenses of that winding up, that property shall be distributed:

  1. to another incorporated association having objects similar to those of the ANA; or
  2. for charitable purposes,

which incorporated association or purposes, as the case requires, shall be determined by the resolution of the members when Authorising and directing the Chair to prepare a distribution plan for distribution of the surplus property of the ANA.
