Overseas Events

Date Event

15-17 June

Battle of Waterloo

This is looking like a good one again this year. The registrations are going well for this- all I can say is keep them coming. We need plenty of Brits to defend the walls of Hougemount and likewise French to give them a good run for their money!

If anyone has any queries regarding this then please forward them to Pete Catley. peter.catley@btinternet.com

3-5 August

Battle of Corunna

There will be a number of battles over the weekend in Corunna and the surrounding towns. Corunna itself is a beautiful city with plenty to see in and do should you wish to extend your stay and have a holiday.

There is a free coach running this year but I must emphasize that to be guaranteed a place you need to get in direct contact with Ronald Brighouse who can also provide full event details using the new email address.

I shall ascertain the availability of spaces on the free coach and get an answer for you shortly. Other travel methods include flying- Iberia fly into Santiago de Compestela and direct in Corunna. You can also get a connecting flight from Madrid with Easyjet

3rd September

Copenhagen

We are definitely spoilt for choice with the overseas events this year and Copenhagen is no exception to the rule- a promising and unique Bi-centennial event Registrations are going well for this one so if you would like to attend now is the time to speak!

If anyone has any queries regarding this then please forward them to Pete Catley. peter.catley@btinternet.com

8-9th September

Campaign of La Boissiere-Ecole 1815

A nice French gig 17km west of Rambouillet. This a campaign weekend with authentic camp life and skirmishes in set in countryside and woodlands- it looks to be a full and challenging weekend but should prove a highly enjoyable one.

Please contact Marc Middleton or Martyn Monks if you are interested in this one.

14-16th September

Couderkerque

A foreign event virtually on our doorstep. Details are being confirmed at the moment but always in the past the event has been good fun and a perfect way to finish the summer season off with.

Please contact Rachel Coman if you are interested in attending: rachel.coman@bisvalves.co.uk

14th-16th September

Gohrde

Clashes are always inevitable but if you are interested in attending the best person to contact would be Rob Bissell from the KGL. It's a long trip but it is well worth it- I went 6 years ago to this and the countryside is amazing.
